Renaissance Faire in Tahoe

On Friday, Mommy took us to the Renaissance Faire in South Lake Tahoe.  Some very odd folks work there.  However, we had a good time playing games, eating ridiculously overpriced novelty food, and visiting the petting zoo area (more goats - yay!).

Our friends have an awesome property with space for livestock and they recently got two baby goats!  We went to go play with them last week.  So cute!

Oxbow Nature Walk

Discovered a natural treasure in Reno with MOMS Club the other day - Oxbow Nature Study Area.  It's surprisingly located at the end of a rough looking commercially/industrially developed street.  There's a pond/wetland area and there are tree lined walking paths that take you right alongside the Truckee River.  Little signs indicate the presence of all sorts of interesting wildlife; however, we didn't see any because they were likely terrified by our group of pre schoolers. It was really pretty, though, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Hope we can go back again soon.

Talley's Tutu Photo Shoot

In May, I got to be part of a fun photo shoot wearing a fabulous tutu from Rosie's Tutus, which is a business run by Mommy's friend, Miss Janessa.  I had a great time modeling and trying out different poses and expressions.

Pool Party

The first weekend of June, we went to a pool party at the fancy Red Hawk Resort in Sparks for a friend's birthday.  We had a blast splashing around in the big pool and then the kiddie pool.  But every party has a  pooper.  This time it was Maverick.  Maverick pooped in the kiddie pool and they had to shut it down.  He was wearing a swim diaper, but it snuck out somehow and there was no denying it.  It was fun while it lasted, though, and thankfully, the pool staff was very understanding.

Memorial Day 2012

We made some great memories on Memorial Day!  We spent the day at the lake with our Reno family.  We played in the dirt and ate yummy food.  Then I got to do the coolest thing I've ever done - I rode a jetski!  Daddy took me riding near the dock.  I was shaking with excitement!  I can't wait to do it again!
