Halloween 2012

Halloween is such a fun time of year!  Check out all the cool Halloween stuff we did.

We visited Ferrari Farms Pumpkin Patch where we went on a hayride, visited some farm animals, and picked out some pumpkins.

We rode the Pumpkin Train in Virginia City which took us to a random spot in the middle of nowhere to pick out some more pumpkins.

We got dressed up for a Trunk or Treat event where we played games and gathered loot.

 

We went to a costume party hosted by one of Mommy's MOMS Club friends.

Cali Visit - Oct 2012

The third weekend of October, we flew with Mommy to California to do some visiting.  Grandma Linda and Andy Pop let us stay at their house.  We got to see Papa Sugar and Me-Ma who were visiting from Texas.  Our Great Aunt Edith and her sons, Stan and Gary, also drove over from Santa Clarita to hang out with us a while.  Hugs and sugars were abound!  Below are some pics:

After a couple days visiting with Me-Ma and Papa Sugar, they headed back to Texas.  Then we went to LAX to pick up our beloved AMNT who flew in all the way from London.  We had a big dinner with AMNT, Grandpa Talley, Grandma and Grandpa Tait (who were visiting from Belize), Miss Cathy, and Dylan at the Cheesecake Factory.  It was a fun reunion and so nice to have everyone together. 

AMNT stayed with us a while at Grandma Linda and Andy Pop's.  She and Mommy helped out Grandma Linda as she was at the end of her radiation treatments and Andy Pop as he was having shoulder surgery.  We also worked in some good play time and a fancy lunch at Souplantation with Grandpa Talley.

It was a great time visiting with people we love.  Thank you so much to everyone who came to see us!  We're also happy to report that Grandma Linda is healing up from the radiation treatments and Andy Pop's surgery went well.

Dentist Appointment

Dental check up time!  Now we both go to the dentist together!  Below are a couple pics from our October checkup.  It was Mav's first ever dental exam, so Mommy wanted to document it.  Mav only had six teeth then, but they all checked out alright.  My mouthful of pearly whites got a good grade too.

 I loved sitting on the nice leather seat with shades on for my exam.  Mav screamed and refused to wear shades or sit on the chair, but they finally got a look in his mouth while Mommy held him in her lap.

After our exams, we got prizes for taking good care of our mouths.

 That's the only happy pic Mommy could get of Mav from this visit.

Good to have a clean bill of oral health!

P.S.  We've notified Mommy that it's cray-cray to take pictures of a dental appointment.  Thankfully, she's agreed to refrain from photographing future appointments.  

Fort Family in Reno

The first weekend of October, Pastor Todd, Miss Cathy, and Dylan's Grandma Freddie came to Reno  to watch the UNR vs University of Wyoming football game.  Dylan's big brother, Cortland, is on the U of W team and although he is red-shirted this year, it was cool to see him all suited up with the team.  We had a great visit while they were out here.  We missed seeing Dylan (he had a football game of his own to play back in California), but Pastor Todd was an acceptable stand-in and I (Talley) made him my best friend for the weekend.

Dylan's Grandma Freddie was fun and feisty!  She taught us all about the art of football smack talk.  Fortunately, we made it out of the game without any brawls breaking out.

 Bob the Builder made an appearance at the game too.  Poor Maverick was shaking with terror at the sight of Bob.  Mav has a deep seated fear of costume heads.

UNR ended up with the victory, but everyone had a good time together.  Here are some more pics from our visit, just hangin' out at our house.

Cul-de-Sac Craze

In October we went to a play date where we decorated our wheeled toys and raced around the cul-de-sac.  It was super fun!  Talley is an ace on the tricycle now and I'm learning how to scoot.  Clear the roads, folks!
