Maverick at 18 Months

A haiku for my year-and-a-half mark:

Warm summer day out

Romping, exploring, learning

Eighteen month old boy

I was nice and healthy at my 18 month check up.  My fav words then were "no" and "ball."  

 

I weighed in at 23 pounds, 13 ounces and I measured 33 inches tall.

Easter 2012

Daddy and Mommy have taught us that Easter is a wonderful  time to celebrate our Savior, Jesus Christ.  We've also learned it's cause for getting gussied up for various random but fun activities (ie talking to a gargantuan rabbit, painting eggs, and going to egg hunting parties).

Here we are at home in our Easter outfits preparing to go to an Easter egg hunt hosted by Mommy's Moms of Pre Schoolers (MOPS) group at a local park on Good Friday.

 Below are pics of us playing at the park and participating in the MOPS egg hunt.  Grandma Jennifer came to join us and we had a blast!

 Talley played pin the tail on the rabbit and hit the pinata.

 

Mav put everything he could grab in his mouth and shattered a decorative glass garden globe. 

Altogether, we had a great time celebrating Easter this year.  We missed Daddy, though!  You may have noticed he wasn't in the Easter photos.  That's because he was away in Redding opening up another Famous Dave's.  Thanks for paying that mortgage, Daddy!

Chillin' at the Dentist Office

Mommy is one of those rare birds that looks at a dental appointment as a photo opp.  That said, here I am being totally cool at the dentist office.  They gave me shades to wear to block the bright overhead light they use.  Prognosis was good.  My teeth have come in nicely (except for the back molars I'm still waiting on) and my smile is healthy!

Oh Fiddlesticks

Here we are modeling our handmade designer tops from Cousin Missy's Etsy shop called Oh Fiddlesticks!  This was supposed to be our Valentine's Day attire; however, since Mav was sick on Valentine's Day, we postponed dressing up.  We love our fab tops, Cousin Missy!  Thanks so much!  Mommy said you've got some awesome new designs now so we will probably be visiting your shop again soon!  Xo, Talley & Mav

The Discovery

Just having some fun at the Nevada Discovery Museum here in Reno.  We love this place and we are now members - yay!  Our favorites right now are the tree house room, the dam exhibit (where you can get drenched!), and the camping room. 

In the top photo, Mav is befriending a statue of a beaver or marmot.  In the bottom photo, Talley is popping out of a tube opening in the dam exhibit.
